KD
In Memoriam: 10.21.2007 - 1.24.2019
The only purebred on the Fetch Life Team, KD is an AKC certified Doberman Pinscher born in 2007. She hails from McAlester, Oklahoma and is the reason we fell in love with her breed. Miss KD’s favorite activities are leading Varmint Search Ops with her big head (including chasing them, treeing them, and barooing at them through windows), and climbing into people’s laps believing herself to be a 70-pound lapdog. KD has an enormous heart, has been a mama dog to our pack, beaten sarcoma in 2016, and is currently in the battle of her life against Lymphoma. Her final moments will be chasing chipmunks or running full tilt as every moment is to be lived hard. Our #1 Dobe, KD specializes in over-the-road truckin’ and all things big.
LC
One of our newest additions, and a Doberman Pinscher rescued by Dobie Ranch Rescue, LC was found tethered and abandoned in standing water during Hurricane Irma. She is our resident goofball, and full throttle all day long. There is not a walk she doesn’t want to go on or a room she won’t follow you into. LC loves her mom and wants to be her favorite dog, KD. Curious of all things indoor and outdoor but gentle, good natured, and loyal to her family and pack. There is never a dull moment with her and she is never not far from her sister, IV. LC specializes in any type of toy that can be torn into shreds in seconds.
Gypsy
In Memoriam: 9.11.2002 - 12.29.2018
With us from the beginning, and named for her gazelle-like sleek physique and nomadic background, Gypsy was found in a drainage pipe sixty feet beneath the island of Puerto Rico in 2002. Surrounded by her deceased siblings and mother, her cries were answered by gold-hearted rescuers from the Save a Sato Foundation, who brought her to the U.S. through the Danbury Animal Welfare Society. Part hound and part Whippet, Gypsy was at one time the fastest in our fleet and ran circles around the pack. Our frosty faced, senior girl is now quite content on her couch and looking forward to her fall sixteenth birthday. She specializes in anything edible.
IV
Our other newest addition, and litter mate to her Doberman Pinscher sister, LC, IV was found in similar dire conditions during Irma and rescued by Dobie Ranch Rescue. She is sweet, kind, gentle, and cautious; the protector of the pack and sentry of the house. She can often be found on her dad’s side of the bed or cage matching off the bed with her sisters. IV is KD’s biggest fan and has filled a special place in our hearts with her love and moans of contentment. She is our expert in blankets, soft clothes, and warm spots to cuddle.
Jack
Our second most senior pup, and lone boy, Jack was rescued in 2006 by the Save a Sato Foundation and brought to Connecticut through DAWS. Jack is enthusiastic about all welcomed visitors, but protective of his family and warm, safe home. Part German Short Haired Pointer and part one-night stand, Jack is a constant companion incessant in his public displays of affection and insatiably curious about all things new and lively. Jacky specializes in items that take him for walks and things he can sleep in.
